So, I was getting in the Jetta, when I tipped sideways. I hit the concrete with the side of my head, did a fair amount of bleeding, then was whisked off in the ambulance and brought to the ER.
I was on my way to a graduation dinner for my stepbrother, Marcus. He is the smartly dressed fellow in the photo. Gangsta got straight A’s for all four years. Quite proud.
No concussion, no skull fracture, just a … hematoma (a word I learned; I find medical terminology tiresome, which is probably why I didn’t know it) and some lacerations. All good. Doesn’t Marcus look smashing??
