WEST BANK
This primer by Al Jazeera on the West Bank is solid. Gaza receives the preponderance of attention lately, but life in the West Bank is an agony all its own.
On a personal note, my heart breaks that this people is treated so cruelly. The Palestinians are some of the most kind, generous, and hospitable people I have ever met. The time I have spent in the Palestinian territories brings cherished memories of a beautiful culture.
By contrast, Israel has become an ugly place. It is broken.
