Gaza’s Children

Prayers are nice, but God does not seem terribly interested in what goes on down here. If anything, he seems to favor the narcissistic and the psychopathic. He seems to reward the worst people with wealth, power, opportunity, good health, and longevity.

I do not actually believe this. I instead take the position that the world is the result of human decision making. We support the worst, and therefore that is who makes these decisions. The Israeli people seem to share our penchant for terrible politicians.

According to the article:

“At least 1,000 children in Gaza have had one or both legs amputated, UNICEF reported in December.”

The human rights workers mentioned in the article are truly doing God’s work. Unlike the vile individuals we support politically, they are among the best people the world has to offer. They should serve as an inspiration—and devastating humiliation—to us all.
