The salient point is how badly out of synch the GOP is with public opinion. I mean, it’s unbelievable. How the Republicans get any votes from the middle class—or points south—is beyond me. If you’re a person of extreme wealth, are looking to buy a fourth house, and you don’t like brown or poor people, then I get it. That is your team.
However, if you work for a living, have medical bills, and care about brown and poor people—or just people for that matter—and you’re voting Republican, then I’m not sure what you’re doing. Your political decisions do not correlate with your day-to-day priorities.
Maybe you don’t like Biden. Fine, neither do I. So, you support someone who’s worse? And if age is that important to you, and you would prefer a young and sprightly neo-fascist to an old 1970s Republican, then I don’t know what to tell you.
