My 15-year-old step brother, Marcus, suggested I share this PDF. A number of years ago some students of mine requested from me a list of movies I recommend they watch. So, I said I would compile such a list ... and then didn't. A couple of weeks later, they said, "Harms, where's the list??" I said I was working on it, which wasn't exactly true. The following week, the students said, "Harms,
list!" I said "Okay, okay, I'll do it." So, I assembled a list of ten films I thought they should watch. Not the ten best films ever made, just ten I recommend. It was a fun exercise. So, I included ten albums and ten books. I just recently added ten streaming series.
On September 10 I posted some photos of me at the Art Institute of Chicago and thought I can post occasional cultural content. We don't have to be all-business all the time, right? I guess I'm relaxing in my old age.
