In connection with my Aug. 27 blog post, Israel's occupation continually appears in higher definition.
Despite Israel's claims, the Gaza Strip is still an occupied territory. Though it "disengaged" from Gaza in 2005, Israel maintains its occupation from the outside, where it controls the coastline, land border, air space, and electrical grid of the coastal strip.
This is a man-made situation that is affecting 1.5 million people, and being carried out with US authorization and financial support.
