Over the last couple decades, information, exposure, and honesty have increased regarding Israel's occupation of the Palestinian territories. And even in the last ten years, I have noticed fewer instances of people in casual conversation getting indignant and accusing others of being "pro-Palestinian" or "anti-Israeli." The facts and reality of the situation are making it difficult to equate criticism of the occupation with an anti-Israeli or anti-Semitic attitude.
The work by Breaking the Silence helps move discussion of the occupation in the right direction. It also helps make the point that defense of the occupation is precisely an anti-Israeli argument.
