The top executives of the major airlines belong in prison. And I’d be okay if they died there. They should be in prison for criminal negligence.
I knew a relatively high ranking ATF agent years ago who personally gave presentations and talks at the major airlines, and they were told very clearly that they were flying bombs. That anyone could waltz into the cockpit, take over the plane (with little effort), and fly it into a building. They were informed that a fully fueled 767 is a nightmare waiting to happen.
The airlines were also informed that it was not that this MIGHT happen, but that it WILL happen, and it was just a matter of time. Turns out the ATF was right. The major airlines did absolutely zero about this. That can got kicked down the road and 3,000 people died as a result.
Now you have to take your shoes off before boarding? Thanks, Delta, I feel so very secure. Wait, I can still get into the cockpit and you still distribute plastic knives with dinner? And I can bring a can of beans that produces a sharp lid as well as bring scissors and a screwdriver (American Airlines)? Delta says (I called them) I can bring my own metal utensils into first class. So nothing has changed, except their laughable pre-flight “security” procedures. Well done, TSA, thank you for keeping the friendly skies safe and sound.
Real quick: Why do elite, well-paid executives so rarely go to prison? Boy, if you're Black and you steal a pair of sneakers or, worse, do nothing and you happen to be standing on the wrong street corner and the cop decides you're guilty of something. What happens then? Do we have a class system in this country? What do the woke have to say about that? Trick question: they have nothing to say.
