Articles and essays tend to have a brief shelf-life. Especially online, once published they basically have a few days or so.
I recently reread Israeli economist Shir Hever's essay from Sep. 2010 on Israel's occupation of Palestine, and found it to be one of those articles deserving periodic republishing.
Entitled "Why Does Israel Still Occupy the Palestinians?," Hever succinctly examines Israel's sustained policies in the Palestinian territories. Addressing what the occupation costs, who benefits, the various mentalities, and how the United States factors, he provides a rational and clear analysis that remains current.
