Cockburn on Iraq

Journalist Patrick Cockburn on the state of things in Iraq, which are growing more unstable by the day. Though the focus right now is on Syria, just next door Iraq is engulfed in sectarian violence, the likes of which threaten the country's existence as a singular entity.

The agony produced by the fateful US invasion of that country in 2003 - still unbelievably described as a "mistake" in much of the commentary - continues and will for some time to come.
