The unjustified US invasion and decade-long occupation of Afghanistan has left more than physical destruction in its wake. In addition to pushing Afghanistan backwards even farther than it was - something it has undergone for thirty straight years now - tensions in the larger region have been created and continually escalated for no reason. President Obama's performance on this score is not only morally unacceptable, but in terms of geostrategy, is dangerous for all involved.
