Due recognition comes Al Jazeera's way. They do very fine work and deserve a broad audience. Were satellite and cable companies to provide a dedicated channel in the United States, I think Americans would find the coverage refreshingly informative. (Al Jazeera English is available in a free stream on their website; but television availability is essential.)
It's time for the current paradigm of CNN, MSNBC, Fox, and the networks to be dismissed. A simple and polite phone call to your provider can get the ball rolling.
